Design & Construct: Refurbishment & Separation Upgrades at Kellyville Fire Station

Client: Fire and Rescue NSW
Status: Completed
Contract: D&C
Completion: Leffler Simes Architects

Multiple stakeholders with active and continuous input underpinned the execution of this project. A full internal upgrade and refurbishment of facilities for the Fire Station required all current operational facilities, including ablutions and sleeping quarters, to be recreated in the adjoining carpark. The project scope ranged from construction of new fire separation walls through to all mechanical and electrical upgrades, internal fit-outs and site restoration following reversion of the temporary facilities.

Project Challenges included:

  • Live Site Construction
  • Complete fire station operation during works
  • Creation of onsite accommodation/ablutions/reclines
  • Constant design and scope amendments
